There’s such a variety of vacation rental homes to choose from all over the globe. Whether you prefer a grand villa, a cozy condo, or a unique experience like a yurt, we know you’ll love staying at a vacation rental too.

Well, let’s get right to explaining!
Here are our top ten count down for why we love vacation rentals and why you should too starting at…
Number 10- Pet Friendly
We love vacation rentals because we can bring our two dogs along with us to enjoy adventures with the family.
By selecting a pet friendly location you can save as much as $2000 because you won’t need to board your dogs. Not only will you love your accommodations, you dogs will too!
Number 9- Laundry Loving
Vacation rentals usually come with washers and dryers.
If you are a frequent flyer then you know luggage fees and limits in baggage can put a strain on any fashionista’s vacay.
But with a washer and dryer at your vacation rental, a quick load run mid-way in your stay will help you be fresh and ready to carry on for the duration of your trip.
Also, I like to run the clothes through the washer and dryer the night before we leave. Then pack them clean in the suitcases.
I don’t know about you …but I usually get home tired and the last thing I want to do is laundry. This way all I have to do when I open my suitcase is to put my clean clothes away in the drawers.
Number 8- Wide Open Spaces
Unlike a cramped hotel room, a vacation rental gives every one plenty of space to gather together.
Then when you wish to slip away from the maddening crowd all you need to do is go into another room, such as your bedroom.
More and more multi-generational families are gathering at vacation rentals to be closer to each other and reconnect. What’s not to love about that?
Number 7 – Tech Is Tops
And of course the Millennials all love their tech, especially those gizmos requiring WiFi. Most homes now have free internet. You’ll be hard pressed to find that in hotels.

Thanks Virag! This is just a few reasons why we love vacation rentals. There’s so much more to love about vacation rentals.
You wrote that holiday home rentals are generally a great option because they offer more room for you and your family to stay in.My family is rather large, and we don’t fit in the typical hotel room. If we could find a nice home rental for our summer vacation, we could all live very comfortably for our time on vacation.
Indeed Rachel, vacation rentals serve much better for a large family group than a hotel. I do offer a word of caution with regard to our home,however. Abalone Bay sleeps 6, and no we do not allow for squeezing one more in a sleeping bag. Also you must be aware of what are the noise restrictions in a home’s community. In fact there are only a very few here in Sea Ranch that will allow for more than 8 people. What we recommended for larger groups (multiple generations, aunts, uncles) that do not fit within our home is to locate other homes nearby for the others in your group. You still have more space, are able to keep families together, and have your own home to enjoy.
It’s great to know more about vacation rentals. I like how you said that it’s a good way to get the family together for a nice vacation. Ever since our kids moved out, we haven’t had time to really sit down together. I’ll have to look into this some more!

I really liked your point on vacation rentals as a good option for privacy. I’ve been wanting to take the wife out on a vacation but we didn’t want to share a space with tons of other people, I feel like that makes it a lot harder to “get away”. I’m gonna take a look at some options for vacation rentals now!
I like how the article explains that by staying in a vacation rental, they usually have washers and dryers in them so you are able to do your laundry during your stay. My family and I are wanting to take a vacation but with my little kids, it is hard as we have to pack double the clothes as they often spill or get dirt on their clothes so we have to constantly change their clothes. By staying in a vacation rental with laundry, we are able to wash their clothes so we don’t have to pack as many clothing items for them.
