The drought has been long. But finally we are rejoicing in all this wet stuff!. What inspires you when you look out upon the morning rain?
Indeed! Here’s to our first real rain in September! Even though a bit melancholy I love how smooth and mellow it is. Love it in Japanese too!

We can only hope that will carry us through to November with its Rain.

True story: It had been such a long drought- close to 3 years! – that while teaching preschoolers with disabilities when it did finally rain I had our whole class go outside to experience it for the first time in their short 3.4 years. I’m a firm believer in experiential learning 😉 What an amazingly joyous event it was !
Taking the coast highway on a stormy night, especially after the previous atmospheric river event that caused so many downed trees and erosion of the highway into the ocean 4o feet below. But what better way to it than with this tune…Riders on the Storm
