Three Awesome Mendonoma Bloggers
1. Carol Kozal’s Blog: The Sea Ranch Life –
Carol Kizak blogs about The Sea Ranch and offers a wonderful first hand account of current happenings and musings of life in The Sea Ranch. And she really knows what she is talking about. Carol resides in The Sea Ranch as a full time resident along with her husband Paul Kozal, photographer and owner of Studio 391. When she is not blogging, or showing homes for sell in the area, she manages Paul’s art gallery. She came upon the idea to blog about her little slice of paradise one day when she realized that vacationers and visitors to The Sea Ranch might like to stay connected to the area or would wondered what it’s like to live here. What I like most about her informative posts is the true sense and feel of daily life here. She shares not only about events she attends, but also interesting background tidbits as well…
2. Jeanne Jackson’s Blog: Mendonoma Sightings
Jeanne Jackson is author of the popular nature column about Mendocino/Sonoma “Jeanne Jackson’s Mendonoma Sightings” in the Independent Coast Observer. She recently published a collection of her most popular columns in her book, Mendonoma Sightings Throughout the Year which is available for your reading enjoyment when you stay at Abalone Bay. She posts daily in her blog first-hand accounts of wildlife encounters, fun facts about the fauna, flora, geography and weather of the land. Jeanne also divulges many of our Mendonoma treasures such as our favorite local trails and hidden view spots. I learn so much from her little daily postings. I know you will too. For a free, daily (almost) Sightings photo in your email inbox, click here to subscribe. Then pop over to Mendonoma Sightings Facebook and give them a like.
3. Margaret Lindgren’s Blogs: Unbeaten Paths and Recipes-Food4Thought
YES! You get two-for-one blogs with naturalist, Margaret Lindgren. She with her husband Phil Newbury are local tour guides for hikers, photographers, and just about anyone else who loves with Mendonoma’s great outdoors. What I love most about Marg and her UnBeaten Path Tours is her guiding philosophy: “Bring life to it’s most uncomplicated and natural form by doing what you love and supporting local business so that each and every community (no matter how small) thrives.” And I know she means it too! I had the best time with her when she showed me the newly established Stornetta- Point Arena National Landmark trails. You’ll have the best time following her blogs learning about the natural wonders of Mendonoma and good natural eats as well.
