The Sea Ranch and the general Mendonoma region (coastal areas of Mendocino and Sonoma Counties) offers so much by way of natural beauty. It is also holds a treasure trove of art galleries of showcasing the beautiful talent of many local artists. These are definitely worth a visit during your stay in Sea Ranch and even a purchase or two to remind you of our area’s beauty.
One of our favorite galleries is that of Paul Kozal’s Studio 391. Abalone Bay not only has examples of his photographic art, but also pieces by other local artists.

Another favorite is Placewares & Lyndon Design that showcases the work by Erin Lee Gafill.

Artists in the Mendonoma region may belong to one of the following artists collectives or organizations:
- North Coast Artist Guild (NCAG),
- Artists Collective at Elk (ACE),
- Coast Highway Artists Collective (CHAC)
- Upstairs Gallery Collective.
There are many more Mendonoma art galleries for you to explore, each with art treasures for your trip back home. Below is a listing of them. Each includes links to the art galleries their addresses. Most galleries feature artists with many changing their featured artists monthly. It is wise to check the website of the art galleries you wish to visit to see who is highlighted at the time of your visit.
You’ll often find Mendonoma art galleries located in restaurants and local lodges. They do double duty as items of decor as well as for sale.
Other Mendonoma art galleries are frequently built and maintained by volunteers for the love art. Some simply offer our local artists a home to show their masterpieces without charging a commission.
Many have opening receptions that are great fun to attend. We highly recommend you attend one if you are in the area. It is a great opportunity to meet the artist and learn more intimately about the his or her pieces on display and for sale. For current exhibits, call or visit the websites of the individual art galleries.
We frequently announce new exhibits on our own Facebook page, but you may also wish to follow the individual art gallery pages as well.
