All I Want from Santa Is a Christmas Season Escape
Christmas season at Sea Ranch is always a marvelous coastal home-town experience for the whole family. It’s a delightful escape from the pre-Christmas stresses, a magical location to celebrate a peace-filled holiday, and a place to de-stress from the post-holiday manic craziness that tends to wrap us all up around the axle.
The season opens with the early passage of whales migrating south to Baja. With the onset of our rainy season (with luck) a bounty of mushrooms pop up along the hedgerow and redwood forest floors.
And even though the weather may be blustery, you’re sure to find the hearts of our Mendonoma community warm and welcoming. They’ll even stand in the rain to cheer on their favorite lighted truck in the Gualala Holiday Lighted Truck Parade that inaugurates the season right after Thanksgiving.

To help you plan for a Sea Ranch Christmas season vacation, we’ve listed few more suggestions below. It’s a handy list of what you could do at Sea Ranch while waiting to greet that jolly ol’ elf and recall the deeper meaning of the holiday.
So pour yourself your favorite holiday beverage and nestle in comfortably with hopes of a Sea Ranch holiday being more than a sugar-plum dream.
And if you can’t make it to Sea Ranch this year, we hope our post puts you in a frame of mind to appreciate the true meaning of the Christmas season.
But for those of you who wisely booked early with hopes that St Nicholas soon will be there, here are a few insiders tips for your stay at Sea Ranch Abalone Bay.
While you wait for Santa’s arrival to Sea Ranch you can…
Count the whales migrating past, using them as your advent calendar.
Dream of a white Christmas.
Be in wonder of that special star.
Spend time together as a family

Believe in the magic of the Christmas Season.

Name all of Santa’s reindeer.

Recall the shepherds upon the hills.

Be in awe of all that surrounds you.
Feast with friends and family.

Listen carefully, that you may hear your pets talk.

Make room for one more in the manger
Re-read that wonderful story.
Be mindful of that honored baby.
‘Tis the Season of Giving Back
One last thought for this Christmas season.
We are so grateful that you had the confidence to book your vacation at Abalone Bay. Because of that we once again can give back to our Mendonoma community.
In the spirit of the Christmas season of giving we invite you, as well, to join us in supporting Mendonoma’s community charities.
We hope you will consider a donation to…
Coastal Seniors whose mission is to support our community’s seniors. They accomplish this by identifying needs, providing programs, and promoting the well-being
Our other charity, Action Network, strives to build a healthy, peaceful, drug-free community. It’s accomplished by strengthening families, promoting collaboration, and implementing individual and environmental prevention strategies.
