As I woke up today I was sooo — verrrrrrrrrrry– bummed out!!!!!
There was no harvest supermoon lunar eclipse to be seen ANYWHERE where I live in Santiago, Chile!
NO Harvest Supermoon Lunar Eclipse
I REEAAALLY — so really — wanted to see the blood moon where we live- Santiago, Chile!
There is NOTHING more spectacular than celebrating the moon’s cresting over the Andes. In fact we’ve frequently taking midnight horse rides through the foothills of the Andes under the full moon, called Lunadas that support horse riding therapy for children and young adults with disabilities.
As the sun started to go down yesterday it seemed it might be ok…perhaps there was a chance to see the harvest supermoon lunar eclipse otherwise known as the blood moon.

But alas it wasn’t.
Not a glow or glimmer of the moon of any color was to be seen at all last night.
BUT ALL WAS NOT LOST- Harvest Supermoon Lunar Eclipse Over Sea Ranch!
I woke up this morning to an email… from Paul Kozal, asking:
Did you get a chance to see the Super Eclipsed Blood Harvest Moon?
I whispered — or rather sniffled to myself — NO!
And then …..
THERE IT WAS!
The most fabulous vision ever-A photo of the Harvest Supermoon Lunar Eclipse as seen in Sea Ranch!!

And so there YOU have it! What a Super Eclipsed Blood Harvest Moon in Sea Ranch looks like!
The Night After the Harvest Supermoon Lunar Eclipse Over Sea Ranch of the Night Before
After the thrill of seeing Paul’s photo of the “Harvest Supermoon Lunar Eclipse” from last night, I wondered would I ever see the Harvest Moon here in Santiago, Chile?
And the answer is a resounding YES!!
This is what it looks like tonight!!
Hmmm. I wonder if I photoshopped it red – would anyone really notice?
YUP–This is one big ass moon over Santiago, Chile!

Of course nothing to the caliber of Paul Kozal!
But I’m sure you get the idea.
It’s a glorious night across the globe!
So—how were your Harvest Supermoon Lunar Eclipse visions last night … or tonight?
