Happy New Years to all. With 2015 well on its way we at Sea Ranch Abalone Bay hope that your New Year’s wishes are on their way to coming true.
We too made a few wishes on New Years, but rather than the superficial promises to ourselves, we have a few heartfelt wishes to offer up for you our readers, guests, and our own Sea Ranch Community.
So before it gets any later in the year, here are our 15 New Years Wishes From Sea Ranch Abalone Bay:
If you have not had the opportunity to participate in any of the events there is still time this year. Check out the The Sea Ranch’s 50th Birthday calendar here.
We also wish to toast the great work being done by two organizations in the Sea Ranch/Mendonoma region:Coastal Seniors and The Action Network. To aide in this effort Abalone Bay now donates a percentage of the monthly rents we receive from you our guests directly to these wonderful causes.
Coastal Seniors‘ mission is to identify and meet the needs of the coastal community’s seniors. They do this by providing meals to home-bound seniors who are unable to grocery shop and/or
prepare their own meals at home. They also provide a Food Bank program whose funding is derived from the Gualala Community Center and its Pay ‘N’ Take thrift store sale. If you’re interested in donating sellable items to their store, they are accepted on Tuesdays from 8:30 until 11:30 am. Or, you can drop off donations anytime by the front door in the designated location.
Action Network‘s mission is to build a healthy, peaceful, drug-free community by strengthening families, promoting collaboration, and implementing individual and environmental prevention strategies. They provide mentoring, education on drug and alcohol abuse, parent and family support services.
We wish all our fellow Vacation Rental owners at Beach Rentals a very prosperous year. As our calendar fills up quickly you may find that you can not book the dates you want with us. When that is the case we recommend you check out some of the other wonderful homes found on our property management’s page.
A rousing Happy New year wish goes out to our friends at Cypress Village Gallery District. We at Abalone Bay would not be as lovely without your artists gracing our walls. A special shout out to our special friend, Paul Kozal at Studio 391. It is his work that greets you when you first walk in and in our principal bedroom.
5. You met our Sea Ranch Sheep at the top of this story. We most certainly wish our fluffy friends and their care takers a wonderful new year. Have you ever seen them “mowing” our fields? They serve a most valuable service by keeping the grasses short and less likely to become a fire hazard.
And speaking of fire – Of course we wish our Sea Ranch Volunteer Fire Department a quiet new year- for all year! We are hopeful that funds will remain available and pledge our support to you as well!
You can also support the VFD through our annual fundraising events:
We most diffidently wish all our past guests a wonderful year and look forward to hosting you you again in 2015. We must say thank you to each and everyone of you for all your 5-star reviews We know you don’t have to do this and we are so very honored that you took time out of your busy life to share your pleasure of staying at Abalone Bay.
We have had people stay with us celebrating many stages of their lives- birthdays, anniversaries, planning weddings, enjoying babymoons, and other special retreats. No matter what chapter in your book of life you may happen to be we wish you all the best and look forward to being a small part of the next.
We will be looking forward to improving and expanding our property at Abalone Bay in the coming years. We have begun discussions with our architect. So much to plan for in the future and we are very excited about the possibilities. To our valuable crew who helped us to open up Abalone Bay and who will help us build an even better property for you we wish you only the very best!
For all who help our Pacific coast waters stay clean and healthy, who care for our bays and estuaries, who in great earnest and conviction conserve and care for our Mother Earth, our 2015 wish is for a world that is bountiful, green, with water flowing from our streams, to the rivers and into our oceans.
To all our 4-footed friends who shared their vacation with their owners at Abalone Bay. We wish you, our furry friends great health in the coming year, lots of trails to explore and scents to fill their noses.
Happy New Year to those who work in the public sector, who assure that this country of ours will remain open and available to enjoy for years to come. We were thrilled about the addition of Point Arena and the Stornetta National Monument to the California Coast National Monument. We look forward to our country’s beauty being preserved and enjoyed for generations to come.
For this next year we send out our good wishes and hearty thanks to all who help keep our roads safe while you make your way to where ever in 2015. The crews from Cal Trans who are ever vigilant that our coast highway remains in tip top shape work long and hard hours. Here’s to you for paving the way to Abalone Bay! Now if we could just do something about the traffic jams!
And to everyone everywhere our last wish for you this 2015 is a year full of unforgettable travel memories. We hope your plans include us.
But if you choose to travel other trails then may the wind always be at your back and the sun always upon shine upon your face and the may the winds of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.
